How long does it take to create a story?
Most stories are ready in about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on length: every page is written and illustrated from scratch. You don't have to wait around: we email you the moment your book is ready to read.
What happens to the photo I upload?
It is never stored. Your photo is used once, in memory, to draw your child's illustrated character, and is never saved to our servers. Only the finished illustration is kept in your account, and you can delete that at any time.
What if something goes wrong during generation?
You never pay for a book you didn't get. If a character fails to generate, your balance is refunded automatically. If a story hits a snag, our team is notified immediately and picks it up from where it stopped. If we can't finish it, we return your credits.
What if I don't like one of the illustrations?
You can re-roll any single image (a character portrait, the cover, or any page) for a small per-image price (from $0.95) shown before you confirm. The story text itself can be edited freely at no cost.
What does a story really cost?
Stories are pay-as-you-go: from $6.50 for a 16-page book up to $8.50 for 24 pages, plus $0.95 per reusable character; up to 6 characters can star in one story. Want the same child in every art style? All 10 styles together cost $7.50 per character instead of $9.50. Prices shown are final at redemption: Stripe handles any applicable tax when you top up your balance. Your balance never expires, and there is no subscription.
