1. Service Description
LittleReaders is an AI-powered platform that creates personalized storybooks for children. Our service allows users to:
- Create custom characters using uploaded images or descriptions
- Generate personalized stories featuring those characters
- View, edit, and download generated storybooks
- Access stories in multiple languages
2. User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use LittleReaders. By using our service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal authority to provide information about any children featured in stories you create.
LittleReaders is designed for use by adults (parents, guardians, family members) to create stories for children. Children should not directly operate the service or provide their own personal information.
3. Digital Purchases and Payments
Important: Please Read Carefully
- LittleReaders uses direct payment for each digital item: a book, a paid image regeneration, a paid portrait tweak, or a coloring pack. You see the item and price before opening Stripe Checkout. Generation starts after payment is confirmed.
- If paid generation fails, we automatically refund the full payment, including tax, to your original payment method. Your payment provider may take a few days to display the refund. Mandatory rights concerning defective or undelivered digital content remain unaffected.
- Character preparation is included in the book workflow. New portraits selected for a book are generated only after its payment is confirmed. Saved portraits can be reused in later paid books. A new art style requires a new portrait; photo-created characters require a fresh source-photo upload for that style.
- EU/EEA and UK consumers: digital content and withdrawal. Before each purchase, you expressly consent to creation and supply of the digital content beginning immediately, before the withdrawal period ends, and acknowledge that your 14-day right of withdrawal or cancellation is lost once performance begins. This consent is separate from acceptance of these Terms and is recorded for that purchase. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.
- A completed book includes its digital PDF and 2 free image regenerations shared across its pages and cover. Portrait adjustments, additional book-image changes and coloring packs are separate purchases at the price shown before checkout. Downloading an already-purchased coloring pack does not require another payment.
- Stripe Managed Payments remains merchant of record for digital purchases and calculates and collects applicable VAT or sales tax at each checkout. App prices use USD as their base currency. Stripe may offer local-currency payment through Adaptive Pricing. The final payable amount and currency are shown at checkout before you pay.
- Printed books are sold and fulfilled by Peecho B.V. as seller of record through their checkout; LittleReaders provides the print file. Peecho's terms, pricing, and shipping policies apply to print purchases.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
All stories, illustrations, and character images created through LittleReaders are generated using artificial intelligence technology. You understand and agree that:
- No guarantees on specific output: AI-generated content may vary in quality, style, and accuracy. We cannot guarantee that the output will match your exact expectations.
- Content may require review: While we implement safety measures to prevent inappropriate content, AI systems are not perfect. You should review all generated content before sharing it with children.
- Image changes: Book-image regenerations included with a purchase and prices for further image changes are shown before you request them. Paid changes use their own checkout.
- User responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that your inputs (descriptions, themes, special elements) are appropriate for children.

6. Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of any images you upload to create characters. By uploading images, you grant LittleReaders a limited license to process those images for the purpose of generating character illustrations.
Generated Content
Stories and illustrations generated through LittleReaders are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may view, download, print, and share generated stories with family and friends. You may not sell, commercially distribute, or claim AI-generated illustrations as your own original artwork.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use LittleReaders to:
- Create content that is violent, harmful, or inappropriate for children
- Upload images without proper authorization or consent
- Request or upload characters protected by copyright or trademark (for example cartoon or movie characters, or brand logos)
- Attempt to circumvent our content safety measures
- Use the service for any fraudulent or illegal purpose
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our AI models
8. Account Termination and Content Retention
We may suspend or terminate your account for a breach of these Terms. Access to content that violates these Terms may be revoked. You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion does not remove payment records we must retain by law or prevent refunds owed for undelivered purchases.
Your generated stories, characters, and books remain available in your account for as long as the account exists. If we ever need to remove stored generated content for operational reasons, we will notify you by email at least 90 days in advance so you can download your books first. This notice does not apply to content removed for violating these Terms or to account deletion you initiate yourself.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LITTLEREADERS AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount you have paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
11. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with LittleReaders, we encourage you to contact us first: most concerns are resolved quickly by our support team. You may submit a written complaint at any time by email to our support address or by post to our registered address below. We will confirm receipt and respond in writing within 15 days, as provided by the Croatian Consumer Protection Act.
If we cannot resolve a dispute together, EU and UK consumers may also use alternative dispute resolution through the competent consumer dispute bodies in their country of residence. Nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a claim before the courts described in Section 12.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. If you are a consumer, you additionally keep the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and where that law so provides you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country; we may bring proceedings against a consumer only in the courts of the consumer's country of residence. For non-consumers, the courts of Zagreb, Croatia have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party AI, hosting, or payment providers, natural disasters, war, labor disputes, or governmental action. Our obligations are suspended for the duration of such circumstances, and we will resume performance as soon as reasonably possible.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
