Creating Books

Add photos or descriptions, or choose saved characters. Pick your art style, theme and page count, then review and pay for your book. After payment is confirmed, we create any new character portraits and then write and illustrate the story. The finished book and reusable portraits appear in your account.

You can choose 16, 20 or 24 pages. Every length is a complete story; more pages simply give the adventure more room to unfold. Prices scale with length, starting at $7.20 for a 16-page book.

You can browse LittleReaders in 11 languages, and your story's text can be written in any of 100 languages. Story text is always printed in Latin letters, so languages that use another script are transliterated.

Generation starts after payment. New character portraits can add time before the story is written and illustrated. The create page shows an estimated wait when busy. You can leave the page: your book keeps generating and appears on your dashboard when ready.
